When you use the contact form we collect your name, company, work email, phone number (if you give it), the area you are interested in and your message. If we start working together, we also keep the correspondence and documents that the engagement produces.

This website does not use analytics or advertising cookies, and we do not build profiles of visitors.

We use your details to reply to your enquiry and to take steps towards a contract at your request. Where we work together, we use them to perform the contract and to meet our legal and accounting obligations. Under UK GDPR these are the “contract”, “legitimate interests” and “legal obligation” bases.

Your details are stored with the providers that host this website and our email. They process data on our instructions and may not use it for their own purposes. We do not sell or rent personal data, and we do not share it with anyone else unless the law requires it.

Enquiries that do not lead to work are kept for up to 24 months, in case the conversation continues. Client records are kept for as long as the engagement lasts and for the period afterwards that tax and company law requires.

Under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 you can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, ask us to stop or restrict using it, and object to our use of it. Email office@chiccanvas.uk and we will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
